What to Expect

Myofascial Release is gentle and profoundly effective. Clients experience increased physical, mental, and emotional balance in addition to pain relief and improved posture. Treatment sessions include a review of pertinent medical history, visual assessment of posture and movement patterns, and tactile (touch) assessment and treatment of tissues.

Please wear loose shorts. Women can wear a sports bra or a two-piece bathing suit. If you are comfortable in your underwear, that works well too.

Please do not use any lotions or oils on the day of your appointment. Your skin needs to be clean and dry for this technique.

We will start with a review of the questionnaire you have completed. (download forms here) We’ll have as much time as you want for discussion and questions.

If you choose, I will take your photo, standing next to a large grid on the wall. This photo will be an excellent tool for seeing postural problems. After a few sessions, we will retake the photo and compare it to the first one.  By viewing the changes on a photo, progress can be clearly seen.

After we review the photo together, I will do a very thorough hands-on evaluation of your posture and soft tissue, both while you’re standing and also once you are lying on the table. We will continue with MFR treatment for the remaining scheduled time.

Current Fee Schedule

We prefer to schedule 90 minutes for the first session. This allows you to receive plenty of hands-on treatment in addition to the Initial Evaluation.

We will be glad to provide you with insurance forms which you can then submit for reimbursement based on the “out of network” benefits of your plan.

Fees are $120.00 an hour, paid at the time of your visit through cash, check, or PayPal.

Cancellation Policy

Your appointment is scheduled specifically for you. Please give 24 hours notice for cancellations, which allows us to schedule waiting patients. Except in emergency, the full session fee will be charged for late cancellations.
